Our Story
We are an independent, highly evidence-based, friendly physiotherapy clinic located in the Tyne Valley town of Prudhoe, Northumberland. We are the longest established physiotherapy clinic within the Tyne Valley and surrounding areas, keeping our clients moving since 1995!
While we have a fabulous local following from within Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and Durham, we have had the opportunity to treat people who have travelled from much further afield both in the UK and from countries such as Ireland, France, Norway and Russia! Whether this has been helping to keep them active in their sporting pursuits, supporting them through injury rehabilitation, preoperative and post-operative rehabilitation, or in treating, managing, advising and educating them about their pain.
At Aspen Physiotherapy Clinic we endeavour to provide high quality, evidence–based and individualised assessment, examination, treatment and rehabilitation. Pain in particular is our forte, whether it is of recent onset or long-term, persistent pain. We provide expert advice on the ‘truth about pain’ as well as providing the tools that are essential in helping you to reduce, improve, manage and recover from your pain.
We also provide dedicated ‘sports massage only’ appointments for clients who have no underlying injuries or conditions that would require medical screening and clinical examination.
All consultations are carried out by state registered/chartered physiotherapists, registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). We are also registered with all major healthcare providers.
Our goal has always been to provide you with our honest clinical opinions and advice on the basis of a comprehensive clinical examination, underpinned by the very best scientific evidence available. we will never ask you to ‘sign up’ in advance for long courses of treatment or multiple repeated sessions of treatment. We always appreciate and support your goals within our treatment, and with integrity, provide treatment and management strategies that maximise your outcome and recovery, and therefore minimise treatment costs and the amount of appointments you will require.
