Thera band are an excellent product for exercise, rehabilitation and conditioning. The Exercise Bands provide a smooth progressive resistance throughout the full range of motion. Available in a variety of lengths for single or multiple use, the colours usually represent a different level of resistance, i.e. the thickness of the material will require more strength to stretch, therefore strengthening the muscles used more. The Exercise Bands can easily be tied and untied in knots to create loops for looping around your feet, arms, chair legs or door handles for specific exercises.
The yellow Theraband is the lightest of the resistance bands for sale. It offers approx. 4 pounds of force when
elongated to 150% of its original length (eg a 1m resistance band pulled to 2.5m). It is ideal for rehabilitation exercises
after injury or surgery. For example, if you have a shoulder problem you may want to use a yellow Theraband to do
rotator cuff exercises or frozen shoulder exercises.
Red and Green Thera-Bands
Red and green Therabands provide medium and heavy resistance band training.
(5 and 6.5 pounds at 150% stretch respectively). Resistance band exercises with these Therabands
allow you to work on areas like your hips and knees where you may want a bit more resistance.
